Night Review: We started our new series Lies, Lies, Lies. For the next couple of weeks we'll be looking at lies we often believe about ourselves, but according to God's Word simply are not true. On this night we took a look at the lie "You have nothing to offer." If Satan can get us to believe that, he will keep us ineffective for God. When we believe the truth of God's Word, we become dangerous for God. Satan doesn't want that and will therefore feed us lie after lie after lie trying to get us to believe him rather than God.

We took a look at the story of Ehud in Judges 3. I had recently heard a message by Perry Noble on Ehud and LOVED it! I used some of his thoughts for the night and it seemed to go very well. The Bible mentions 2 very specific things about Ehud: He was left-handed and He was from the tribe of Benjamin. The word Benjamin means "son of the right hand." Being left-handed in Old Testament times was often considered to be a handicap. So, we have a left-handed man from a tribe known as the "son of the right hand." If anyone could have thought they had nothing to offer, it would have been Ehud. But, God used his uniqueness to do something amazing. Ehud didn't believe the lie he had nothing to offer because he believed God had a specific plan (Ephesians 2:10) and would do more than he could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
