Had some labs done today for insurance purposes. So, I had to have blood drawn, but I have historically difficult veins. I remember the first time I ever had blood drawn ... 6th grade appendectomy ... and the nurse had to stick me 3 times. Ever since then, there is rarely success with the first "stick." Today, two sticks ... no success. The nurse said she's never had to stick someone 3 times. So, she just decided to call it quits and give someone else a try. Some of the secrets I've learned, though, to getting blood drawn ... drink lots of water. It makes your veins bigger and more easily accessible ... except in my case. :)
